Cultivated and harvested at an altitude of 650m in Narao Shizuoka, this single-origin Sencha “Midori” tea boasts a superior quality to regular Sencha tea and a heightened deep umami due to the leaves having to adapt to the cold temperatures. With its fragrant aroma and unique complexity and depth, Midori makes for an elegant taste.

Ingredients

Japanese sencha green tea leaves

Brewing directions

Tea leaves : 2-3g per cup Hot water(70℃/158°F) : 200 ml per cup *** 1. Boil fresh water and leave to cool for a while. (Soft water is recommended) 2. Infuse for 1 min. 3. Slowly pour tea into tea cups alternately a little at a time until the last drop.(Golden drop) 4. Steep for a slightly shorter (20 sec)period and use hotter water for the second infusion. 5. The third infusion, use hotter water and brew shorter (10 sec) than for the second infusion. ※Higher temperature makes green tea bitter taste while lower temperature does make it less bitterness and more aroma ※For JAPANESE green tea, the longer you steep, the more bitter the taste ※Tea Leaves can be brewed up to 3 times”
